WEEK ONE: HELLO ... ANYBODY OUT THERE?
GAME 01: PURPLE (1-0) vs. RED (0-1)
Final Score: 75/70 to 55/53 for PURPLE This was a game of streaks and starts with Red scoring the early blows with their strong inside presence. After the net situation was settled then Purple started to find their stroke from behind the arc hitting 12 three pointers throughout the match. In the end Purple easily cruised to the victory behind strong games from Colin Silver (24) and Ziauddin Hamidi (16). Red countered with strong games from Mackenzie Carver (25) and rookie Whitman Hyson (11) but it wasn't enough for the victory. MEN OF THE MATCH: C.Silver, Purple & M.Carver, Red GAME 02: GREEN (1-0) vs. PINK (0-1)
Final Score: 62/56 to 61 for GREEN This was the game of the night as both teams looked to start off strong for the season. This battle royal swayed back and forth with both teams holding slim leads at various points throughout the evening. Free throw shooting would be the difference down the stretch as Pink clanged a few off the rim and Green escaped with the win. Pink saw strong performances from Caleb Barry (10) and OJ Hennigar (18) while Green was led by Josh Chaytor (15) and Chad Garber (13). Pink did manage to steal a point after the sub adjustment. MEN OF THE MATCH: C.Garber, Green & O.Hennigar, Pink GAME 03: GOLD (1-0) vs. ORANGE (0-1) Final Score: 68/66 to 53/52 for GOLD This game saw Gold jump out early and never really relinquish their hold on the lead. Both teams played hard on defence, giving up little in the paint, which meant that 8 three pointers by Gold proved to be the difference as Orange could not hit from distance. Gold saw strong performances from Cameron Cunningham (17) and Catlin Garber (16) while Orange countered with solid performances from Damon Wamboldt (14) and Luke Young (11). MEN OF THE MATCH: C.Cunningham, Gold & D.Wamboldt, Orange |
WEEK TWO: WORKING FOR THE WEEKEND
GAME 01: GREEN (2-0) vs. ORANGE (0-2)
Final Score: 85/83 to 70 for GREEN This was the tale of two teams looking for position in the league. The matchups were favourable but the bounces were not as Green used small spurts to build a lead that Orange would never be able to come back from. Channing Carver (32) played a quiet yet dominant game with Josh Chaytor (15) balancing out the attack. Orange saw strong performances from Damon Wamboldt (23) and Luke Young (18). MEN OF THE MATCH: C.Carver, Green & L.Young, Orange GAME 02: GOLD (2-0) vs. RED (0-2)
Final Score: 85 to 60 for GOLD This was a tale of defensive intensity and Gold brought it from the beginning of the game and never relented. Red looked out of sorts at times and were never able to find their pace in the loss. Gold had four players see double figures with Catlin Garber (16) and Kyle Lowe (15) leading the way while Red wasted strong games from Austin Smith (24) and Jonathan Oickle (16) in the defeat. MEN OF THE MATCH: S.Fancy, Gold & A.Smith, Red GAME 03: PURPLE (2-0) vs. PINK (0-2) Final Score: 75/73 to 62/51 for PURPLE This match saw both teams throwing punches (not literal) as they looked to talk charge of the game. Purple found their stroke in the second half while Pink seemed to look out of sorts in the second half. Colin Silver (20) paced the Purple attack with Alex Joudrey (14) playing solid beside him. Aaron Frail (13) and Chad Garber (11) played solid with the Pink highlight being Braiden Taylor (3) hitting his first big league shot of the season MEN OF THE MATCH: A.Frail, Pink & C.Duchesne, Purple |
WEEK THREE: SOMETHING IN THE AIR
GAME 01: GOLD (3-0) vs. PINK (0-3)
Final Score: 78/76 to 61/48 for GOLD A total of six bodies were missing for this clash this week and with four of them being on the Gold team it looked like Pink was primed for their first victory of the season. But after two shifts Pink was trailing 33-3 and had lost hope in victory but rather looked to make sure the game wasn't an embarrassment. Ryan O'Toole (13) and Nick Chaytor (13) stepped up and found their rhythm, helping Pink claw their was back to respectability but with Cameron Cunningham (24) and Catlin Garber (26) leading the way the Gold team cruised to their third win of the season. MEN OF THE MATCH: C.Cunningham, Gold & A.Wamboldt, Pink GAME 02: GREEN (3-0) vs. PURPLE (2-1)
Final Score: 62 to 57/55 for GREEN Green and Purple were both looking to keep their perfect seasons alive in this matchup and both teams came out of the gates with gusto as they looked to make their mark on the game. Channing Carver (31) took control of his shift early and Purple looked lost as they tried to contain him. When that seemed unlikely they looked for a counter punch but despite Ziauddin Hamidi (17) and Colin Silver (12) they just couldn't get the ball to fall enough to make up the difference in the game and Green escaped this Week 3 match up still undefeated for the season. MEN OF THE MATCH: C.Carver, Green & Z.Hamidi, Purple GAME 03: RED (1-2) vs. ORANGE (0-3) Final Score: 77 to 59/53 for RED Both of these teams were looking for their first victories of the season but it appeared that only one of them wanted the actual victory. Red played a ferocious team game, balancing the scoring with five players in double figures led by Bobby Lowe (12) and Austin Smith (12). Orange countered with a strong game from Luke Young (16) and substitute player Jeremiah Wagner (12) but it wasn't enough to counter the strong play from the Red team. Red know looks to climb the standings while Orange looks to its match up with Pink in hopes of a victory. MEN OF THE MATCH: J.Peach, Orange & B.Lowe, Red |
WEEK FOUR: THE EYE OF THE TIGER
GAME 01: PURPLE (3-1) vs. GOLD (3-1)
Final Score: 85/84 to 64 for PURPLE Gold dominated the court last week and with a full roster yet again looked continue their winning ways. Purple had other plans and so did their offence as it shredded the Gold defence, giving them a decisive victory and hitting Gold with their first defeat of the season. Purple was paced by Colin Silver (25) and Sam Jess (12) while Gold was led by Sebastian Emino-Savory (14) and Cameron Cunningham (14). Gold will look to get back on their winning ways next week and Purple will look to continue their hot play. MEN OF THE MATCH: S.Emino-Savory, Gold & S.Jess, Purple GAME 02: PINK (0-4) vs. ORANGE (1-3)
Final Score: 73/71 to 58 for ORANGE Both teams were struggling in the early weeks of the season, with both teams struggling to get the much wanted win. Orange found their rhythm early with a barrage from long distance but Pink clawed their way back into the game quietly. A sudden burst by Damon Wamboldt (15) in his last shift allowed Orange to gain a lead they would not relinquish. Pink was led by a strong game from Aaron Frail (18) while Orange saw strong games from Michael O'Hearon (19) and Luke Young (18) as they captured their first win of the season. MEN OF THE MATCH: M.O'Hearon, Orange & A.Frail, Pink GAME 03: RED (2-2) vs. GREEN (3-1) Final Score: 59/55 to 53/48 for RED After Gold's early loss Green remained the only undefeated team in the league but that was short lived as once again Red came out and played a solid, balanced team game at both end of the court. Austin Smith (16) would lead the Red attack with veteran Bobby Lowe (10) guiding the second string while Bailey Connors (13) and Kyle Veinot (10) tried to pick up the scoring with league leader Channing Carver absent for the game. Red ended Green's winning ways and both teams will look to secure top spots in their matchups next week. MEN OF THE MATCH: B.Connors, Green & A.Smith, Red |
WEEK FIVE: HALFWAY THERE

WEEK TWELVE: PLAYOFFS - CHAMPIONSHIP
GAME 01: PINK (3-9) vs. ORANGE (6-6)
Final Score: 81/74 to 66/62 for ORANGE A laid back affair that saw both teams playing drastically shorthanded. Both teams moved the ball well on the court but it was Orange that saw the ball frequently falling through the hoop. Playing run and gun basketball Orange managed to build a lead that they would never relinquish. Led by Chad Garber (29) and Devin Broome (11) overcame the strong games from Caleb Barry (17) and OJ Hennigar (13) to finish the season with a final victory. In the end it was the consistent team attack that earned Gold the championship. Gold was led by Shane Hirtle (17) and Kyle Lowe (15) while Purple countered with Nick Chaytor (14) and Alex Joudrey (14).
