WEEK ONE: WE'RE BACK
GAME 01: BLUE (1-0) vs. GOLD (0-1)
Final Score: 85 to 53 for BLUE The first game in almost two years and it was a little lopsided as Gold showed the rust of not playing while Blue had a few players that looked like they were in mid-season form. With Blue missing two players they quickly sprung on the attack, and were able to overwhelm the Gold team with consistent pressure all night. The one-two punch of Chad Garber (26) and Josh Chaytor (24) stoked the Blue engine that easily walked away with their first victory of the season. MEN OF THE MATCH: C.Garber, Blue & M.Zinck, Gold GAME 02: GREEN (1-0) vs. PURPLE (0-1)
Final Score: 59 to 54 for GREEN This was the most balanced game of the evening as both teams looked a little rusty to start but found their flow in the second half of the game. The score bounced back and forth with Grant Cook (15) swinging the tide towards Purple but in the final shift Channing Carver (20) took control of the game and made sure that Green came away with the victory. Both teams were paced with solid play and should be difficult to contend with as the season progresses. MEN OF THE MATCH: C.Carver, Green & G.Cook, Purple GAME 03: ORANGE (0-1) vs. RED (1-0) Final Score: 68 to 51 for RED This game was similar to the opening game where both teams were showing the rust. Zack Fancy (20) and Blair Lipsett (18) paced the Red attack while Orange countered with strong openers from Michael O'Hearon (16) and Dallas LeBlanc (10) but Red was the top team on this night. MEN OF THE MATCH: D.LeBlanc, Orange & Z.Fancy, Red |
WEEK TWO: SCRAPING OFF THE RUST
GAME 01: PURPLE (0-2) vs. RED (2-0)
Final Score: 59/57 to 49 for RED This game was a hard fought match between a Purple team that barely let one slip away last week and a Red team that was coming of a solid victory. The first half was a defensive battle between the two teams as they dug in and played tough hard fought basketball. Things started to swing Red's way when Purple strongman Damon Wamboldt was knocked from the game. This threw off Purple's rotations and allowed Red to gather a foothold in the game. Final Score: 78 to 62 for ORANGE Two teams that played poorly in the opening week locked horns looking to start their winning ways for the season. Gold started off strong, opening an early lead and looking strong offensively. Orange slowly started chipping away at the lead with solid ball movement and controlling the glass. A one-point halftime lead at half by Orange quickly expanded to a large lead that they wouldn't ever give up. Caleb Barry (18) and Cody DeLong (12) had good bounce back games for Gold while Orange say strong games from Dallas LeBlanc (17), Michael O'Hearon (17) and Owen Mansfield (12). Orange got their first win while Gold will have to wait till next week MEN OF THE MATCH: C.Barry, Gold & O.Mansfield, Orange GAME 03: BLUE (2-0) vs. GREEN (1-1) Final Score: 72 to 64 for BLUE Blue looked strong in their opening match while Green fought hard to win their opener. This game was back and forth for the first half with Blue holding a subtle lead at half. The second half saw an explosion by Blue that gave them a slight cushion in the game as they prepared to weather the final attack from Green. Led by Evan Gibson (15) and Josh Chaytor (16) Blue looked solid at both ends of the court as the countered the attack from Carver cousins, Channing Carver (24) and Allan Carver (14). Green didn't have the last push in the final shift and Blue hit some timely shots down the stretch to keep themselves undefeated while Green will look to bounce back next week. MEN OF THE MATCH: E.Gibsob, Blue vs. A.Carver, Green |

Kegan Besaw (10) and Michael O'Hearon (12) led a late push by Orange but in the end it wasn't enough to overcome the strong balanced play of the Blue team, who managed to hold on to their top spot in the standings while Orange will look to bounce back next week against Green MEN OF THE MATCH: T.Uhlman, Blue & A.Slauenwhite, Orange GAME 03: GOLD (0-3) vs. PURPLE (1-2) Final Score: 78 to 55 for PURPLE Both of these teams were looking for their first win of the season. Purple struggled to finish their first few games and came out ready to make sure that didn't happen again. Gold was still looking to find it's footing and a consistent game from start to finish. Caleb Barry (20) and Jordan Wentzell (10) played strong on the inside for the Gold team who looked to control the paint while Grant Cook (22) paced the Purple attack with a full court attack. MEN OF THE MATCH: J.Wentzell, Gold & G.Cook, Purple |

Orange couldn't find the bottom of basket early and Green pounced on that opportunity as they built up a lead that they would never relinquish. Led by Channing Carver (20) and Shane "The Pants" Slauenwhite (14) Green played solid inside-out basketball and managed to outpace the Orange team who were led by Michael O'Hearon (19) and Dallas LeBlanc (17). Final Score: 81 to 64 for BLUE This game started off as a battle royal as Purple wasn't going to be pushed around by Blue and their undefeated record. Close up to half time, the second half saw Blue hit their stride and catch the shorthanded Purple team in some match up difficulties. Led by youngsters Caleb Reid (23) and Tyler Uhlman (16), Blue cruised in the second half and easily coasted to their fourth straight win to start the season. Damon Wamboldt (23) exploded for the Purple team and despite strong games from him and Matt Boland (12), it wasn't enough to stop the Blue attack. In the dying seconds Red tied the game sending in to overtime, where fatigue and tough rims cost both teams and in the end Gold would score the last basket, garnering them their first win of the season. Red would steal one point for getting the game to overtime. MEN OF THE MATCH: M.Carver, Gold & A.Frail, Red |
WEEK FIVE: MEET ME IN THE MIDDLE
GAME 01: GOLD (1-4) vs. GREEN (3-2)
Final Score: 79/75 to 67 for GREEN Gold was coming off their first win of the season while Green was looking to keep place with the teams at the top of the leader board. Green took control of the game early behind a strong showing from Allan Carver (14) and maintained their lead throughout, being paced by Channing Carver (23). Dynamic-duo Caleb Barry (19) and Cody DeLong (10) played strong for Gold but it wasn't enough to make up the difference and Green finished the first half of the season above .500 while Gold will look to change their fortunes in the second half of the season. MEN OF THE MATCH: T.Waterman, Gold & A.Carver, Green GAME 02: BLUE (4-1) vs. RED (4-1)
Final Score: 86 to 74 for RED Blue lost their leader on the court last week and it showed this week as Red started off strong and gave Blue a little of the taste of what they have been doing to teams all season. Red played a strong game at both ends of the court with five players cracking double figures led by Elijah Bond (17) and Aaron Frail (15). Caleb Reid (23) played strong for Blue but it wasn't enough as Red handed Blue their first loss of the season and ruined their chance at the perfect season. Blue will look to right the ship while Red will look to continue their success. MEN OF THE MATCH: C.Reid, Blue & J.Oickle, Red GAME 03: ORANGE (1-4) vs. PURPLE (2-3) Final Score: 65/64 to 62/61 for PURPLE This game was a slobber-knocker with both teams battling strong to avoid dropping their fourth game of the season. They overtook Orange who made some mistakes down the stretch and despite strong games from Nick Chaytor (15) and Dallas LeBlanc (11) they weren't able to hit the shots when they needed to. Purple looks strong moving forward while Orange will need to figure things out to make the playoffs in the second half. MEN OF THE MATCH: N.Eagles, Orange & L.Hiltz, Purple |
